Summary

The Product Manager will globally manage our product strategy, family of products and product categories across the product lifecycle to maximize profitability, grow market share, support strategic projects, amplify our brands through product, increase our new product success rate and deliver world class product experiences for our customers. This position requires strong project management skills and the ability to effectively work with others across the organization including: Marketing, Product Design and Development, Operations, Finance, Sales and Customer Support. We are looking for someone who is obsessed with innovation, loves testing our product and wants to talk to users to get first hand feedback.

Key responsibilities for the Product Manager fall under four categories: Traditional Product Management, Category Management, New Product Development and Product Knowledge and Training. The position reports directly to the Vice-President Marketing & Commercial Strategies.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Category Management

Use all resources necessary to fully understand customer needs, obtain the VOC, recommend solutions to satisfy those needs while simultaneously ensuring that our products are meeting Brand positioning, strategic and profitability goals.


Product Management

Manage the complete product lifecycle of our products from both strategic and operational points of view. Strategically ensure that our products are positioned correctly relative to our customer needs, our competition and according to Brand direction. Develop and manage processes, tools to ensure we are meeting strategic and operational objectives.


New Product Development

Manage the company’s new product development process from start to finish being the champion for new ideas, best-in-class process and ultimately new product success rates which meet our corporate goals.


Product Knowledge and Training

Be an enthusiastic product expert who is energized by sharing their knowledge and expertise with colleagues, customers, sales representatives, the media and other stakeholders globally.


Qualifications:

  • B.A. or B.S. Degree in Marketing or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of product management, marketing, sales, category management, new product development and training
  • Proven organizational skills with ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, direct and influence cross functional teams and prioritize deliverables
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation writing skills
  • Strategic development, analytical, innovation and decision-making skills
  • Highly motivated, self - starter, focused, collaborative and enthusiastic
  • Creative thinker with a track record of developing strategy and innovative ideas
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience working with relevant manufacturing, distribution channels, OEM's a plus
  • Willing to travel 10-20% of the time, mainly in USA and Europe.
